Everybody’s got a top ten list, so we figure we would hop on the ride. Since most everybody else has coined a top 10 of about everything in sports, we at TheSportHump want to bring you the Top 10 80’s Sports Movie Montages.
Here is how they qualify:
-Must be sports orientated and made in the 80’s.
-Must be climatic, and show a training sequence.
-The music has to be absolutely horrible.
-Be within 6 degrees of Jason Bateman.
Here is Number 10-Bloodsport (1988)
Frank Dux aka (Jean-Claude Van Damme) has spent most his life being trained by Tanaka to participate in the Kumite, the ultimate martial arts tournament, where participants are seriously injured, even killed. Frank decides to go despite being told by his superiors in the army that he can’t because they need him. Two army officers are sent to get him and the trail leads to Hong Kong but Frank eludes them. While Frank advances, he knows that he may have to face Chong Li, the defending champion, who has killed a few participants.
