Cusescoops-– After 3 consecutive years of anchoring the bottom of the Cicero flag football league, Brett Hayes, player/coach of the Best Buy Cleveland Steamers was fired from the team. After squeaking out only one win over the Fuccillo Donkey Punchers, Hayes, a shift supervisor at the Carousel Best Buy stated by phone that, he was saddened by the way the team let him go.”Two dudes from the team called me from Dorsey’s and told me that I am done, and don’t show up next week when they play the Blimpie Sub’s Blumpkins at Hyde Park.”
The team looks to end the season on a high note and recently recruited a former Cortland State wide out who works at Beeper N’ Thingz on Erie Blvd. “This guy is going to help us get the ball down field, I mean he was like 3rd string at Cortland State back in 93 or something,” stated David DelaOsaCruz, a Steamer lineman. The team will host a season ending bash at the Applebees in North Syracuse.
