The Valuevchsy family sincerely enjoys the American holidays such as Thanksgiving, but celebrate them with different customs. Instead of a nice turkey dinner for thanksgiving, the family ate a live Proboscis monkey. This is a ritual in their native Ukraine, and see it as a right of passage for the youth. “I have ate Proboscis since I was an eleven year old pipe fitter in Kisvech, Ukraine. It tastes great, and is more less filling than your miller lite beer.”
Local animal rights groups were not aware of such customs, and called the celebration, “cruel and unruly.”
